Viridian’s Sage Leaf Extract is equivalent to 2.4g of sage leaf in every capsule, providing 2% essential oil. Sage has been used for centuries in traditional medicine practice and has become renowned for its ability to help with physical and mental comfort during the menopause. Specifically, it is often used to address symptoms of excessive sweating and hot flushes during this life stage.
The botanical name for sage is Salvia officinalis, which comes from combining the Latin ‘salvere’ meaning to be healthy and heal, along with ‘officinalis’ - a broad term denoting organisms, usually plants. Sage itself has been shown to have a high concentration of naturally occurring antioxidants which contribute to the natural defences of the body.
It is considered that the thujones in sage contribute to sage’s beneficial effects, however, a large quantity of thujones should not be consumed. This supplement has been carefully formulated to ensure an effective and safe level of sage extract in every capsule.

Directions
